- To help communicate the findings of researchers, universities, scientific studies and geological services in the field of basic and applied geological sciences and geology-related industries; their impact on such industries as well as the benefits for Latin American countries.
- The congress will include seminars, keynote speeches, courses, and geological field trips with a view to promoting a proactive interaction among globally-renowned researchers, governmental agency representatives, consultants and professionals from geology-related industries of Peru and Latin America.
- This event will also encourage the exhibition and promotion of geology-related technologies and services.
